Storm is a running club based in Plymouth. We cater for all running abilities, from the complete novice to the experienced marathon runner. We are proud of the support we offer to our runners, utilising a 'loop-back' system to ensure no runner is ever left behind. We run, on average, three times a week from different locations in and around Plymouth, both in the day and in the evening. In the evenings there are generally 6 groups offering different speeds/mileage. Storm also organises circuit classes to compliment running, by helping to strengthen and tone the core and upper body. We also know how to have a good time! There is almost always a post-run trip to the pub and organised socials where we encourage partners and friends to attend. Running and talking, what more could you want?
I started running 11 years ago with my sister to lose weight, for 5 of those years i was a solo runner (when we had babies) and a year ago I joined storm morning crew.
I never thought I would enjoy running with so many people, but while running solo I fell out of love a bit with running.
Now I have found the love again. I don't enter races, but we all do it for different reasons and that's what is great about storm. We all enjoy running and get something different from it, whether it's fitness, company or to improve technique
