Storm is a running club based in Plymouth. We cater for all running abilities, from the complete novice to the experienced marathon runner. We are proud of the support we offer to our runners, utilising a 'loop-back' system to ensure no runner is ever left behind. We run, on average, three times a week from different locations in and around Plymouth, both in the day and in the evening. In the evenings there are generally 6 groups offering different speeds/mileage. Storm also organises circuit classes to compliment running, by helping to strengthen and tone the core and upper body. We also know how to have a good time! There is almost always a post-run trip to the pub and organised socials where we encourage partners and friends to attend. I've made new friends & developed a confidence I wish I had found years ago.
I joined Storm in October 2016 on the suggestion of a mate. Unsure what to expect I was surprised by how supportive everyone was and I throughly enjoyed myself.
Within 4 months I completed my first 10k, within 6 months my first half marathon and now I'm constantly looking forward to the next race.
I've made new friends & developed a confidence I wish I had found years ago. This club has given me so much and I'm pleased to be able to give something back.
