Storm is a running club based in Plymouth. We cater for all running abilities, from the complete novice to the experienced marathon runner. We are proud of the support we offer to our runners, utilising a 'loop-back' system to ensure no runner is ever left behind. We run, on average, three times a week from different locations in and around Plymouth, both in the day and in the evening. In the evenings there are generally 6 groups offering different speeds/mileage. Storm also organises circuit classes to compliment running, by helping to strengthen and tone the core and upper body. We also know how to have a good time! There is almost always a post-run trip to the pub and organised socials where we encourage partners and friends to attend. For years I ran competitively without seeing the need to join a club. I finally relented in the summer 2016 and instantly wished I did it earlier. The chance to learn from more experienced runners and coaches is invaluable and constantly trying to catch up with the runner in front has improved my race times dramatically.
Running is a sport where everybody can win, set your own targets and once you achieve them you have been successful, no matter if that target is to run a mile without walking or completing a marathon in less than 3 hours, the sense of achievement is the same.
