Storm is a running club based in Plymouth. We cater for all running abilities, from the complete novice to the experienced marathon runner. We are proud of the support we offer to our runners, utilising a 'loop-back' system to ensure no runner is ever left behind. We run, on average, three times a week from different locations in and around Plymouth, both in the day and in the evening. In the evenings there are generally 6 groups offering different speeds/mileage. Storm also organises circuit classes to compliment running, by helping to strengthen and tone the core and upper body. We also know how to have a good time! There is almost always a post-run trip to the pub and organised socials where we encourage partners and friends to attend. "The determined one"
When I decided to enter the Plymouth half marathon in April 16 , I hadn't run since school. People didnt think I would complete it. But with lots of determination and support, I did and found Storm in the process, which is the best thing that could have happened. Since joining a week after the Plymouth half, I have gone from strength to strength, moving through the groups and can now say something I never thought I would, 'I AM A RUNNER'.
I feel so honoured to have been asked to be a buddy. I can now start to give back to the club that has helped me so much and I am now able to help others with their own running journeys.
