Hydration, Hydration, Hydration!

As one of the clubs Welfare Officer I wanted to reminder you all about having a good, and healthy, attitude to Hydration and Nutrition.

As we have already entered the warmer season, it is important that you are well hydrated before any run or race.

It is always a good idea, if running in the evening, to think in the morning about making sure you hydrate during the day and eat enough in advance of a run. Different people need different amounts of hydration and nutrition for club runs and races, so it's important you find a way that works for you.

Personally need alot of fluid and food (possibly because my head is like a solar panel), and for races in particular I have it in my thoughts a few days in advance the fact I need to slightly increase my fluids and carbs. Plus i may add various additions if needed like electrolytes. Each individual is different.

As a running club, your safety and wellbing is important to us and we want everyone to return from a run safe and well from any club run or race.
