⏱️ Time Trial Programme - Coaching Session ⏱️

Good Morning Storm! 💜⚡️

Our new look coaching team are looking into putting on a Time Trial programme across the summer. ⏱️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️

This will take the form of a one hour session once per month focussing on speed, stamina, form and technique. We will likely utilise Victoria park as a possible venue for this although will not limit this to just one setting. The sessions are expected to start in early May and run through to September, once per month with the occasional extra session thrown in. They will take place on a Thursday on a week where our club night rotation is Mon/Weds. The sessions are aimed at all abilities and we would really encourage a mix of runners to get involved.

The goal would be to assist you and provide you with as much guidance as we can to improve your speed on the 5k/10k distance. We will set an event to aim for, potentially the Tamar Bridge 10k, and help to improve your speed for this.
The programme will also provide a real opportunity for our coaches, with the chance to gather some of the evidence they require to build their training portfolios. Any support we can give them as they look to complete their CIRF qualification in the near future will be welcomed.

We are initially posting this to gauge interest from the club members, to see if there is an appetite for this kind of variety in sessions at Storm and to judge the numbers we would expect if it were to go ahead.
