Today marks the final day of our captains Charlene Matthews & David Kilgore’s term in the role. 👨🏻‍✈️🧑🏻‍✈️💜⚡️🙌🏻

This month both have had the spotlight shone on them with the Storm Member Profile and created a very interesting blog to read. The comments I have seen on both of those posts, as well as on social media posts have been so positive and really tell a story of how much respect the club members have for both captains.

The Captains Run which traditionally ends the term was very popular despite the weather, which again is a testament to the appreciation of them both.
Previous captains in years gone by had really set a high bar for our club captains to reach, but they certainly did reach it and managed to put their own stamp on it too.

Despite being two of our racing snakes, running at the faster end of the club, the two of them have really managed to engage with all club members, no matter what ability. Their supportive nature became evident early on as we saw the welcome return of the storm cuppa for all members to engage with. They have continued to lead by example with their own running achievements and at the same time have conducted themselves in a way that the club can be truly proud of. 💜

On behalf of The Club Committee, The Club Members and all those race directors you have both dealt with over the year……We Thank You!! We really appreciate everything you have both done and your efforts will not be forgotten. I’m sure the two of you will continue to get those cappers comments as it never goes away with the respect earned.💜⚡️🙌🏻

Lastly, let me thank you both in advance for the help and assistance I know you will give our two new captains Julie & Mick from tomorrow onwards. 👨🏻‍✈️🧑🏻‍✈️
