Good morning team, 💜⚡️
Wednesday evening see’s the final Armada 5k of the season. For those who don’t know what this is all about, the armada network is a collection of clubs in Plymouth and surrounding area’s that join together to support one another and stage extra events for the ever growing running community of Plymouth. Storm is a fully paid up member of this network and we do our bit to help stage these events.
Last month we enjoyed the Storm takeover of the event where we provided all the Marshalls as well as some of the runners on the night.

For this, the last one of the year, we really want to encourage as many of our runners as possible to turn up and get involved. I really want to emphasise that these runs are for ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY!! Everyone in this club is capable of completing 5k whether it be running in 18 minutes or run/walking it with the party at the back. This race is very social with all ability of runners from all clubs getting involved and the clubs are going to make a real effort to help support the last one of the year to cap a successful season for our Armada events at Saltram.

This run itself is downhill and flat for the first 2 miles. You then take a nasty hill on for half a mile or so but when you get up there it is so worth it as you get to finish with a brilliant down hill all the way down to the car park where your fellow stormies will be cheering you in!

Each month’s event is great and the atmosphere with all the other clubs is fantastic, showing off Plymouth’s thriving running community.

We would love all of you to be involved, from beginners all the way up to the fasties and that’s why we moved our club run to Thursday to give you all that chance. Come on everyone let’s turn Saltram Purple one last time before it gets too dark and the autumn really sets in! You won’t regret your decision.

For those interested (and I hope that’s all of you 😎) – You are advised to sign up online and transfer your £3 pound across in advance but it’s always possible to register on the night however, bear in mind there is always a queue for this.

This event IS part of the armada Grand Prix where you will be looking to complete 7 races for the Armada memento. 🏁
