Good morning everyone. Itโ€™s finally here, the one we have all been waiting for!
Plymouthโ€™s very own running festival returns! Itโ€™s time to turn the city purple yet again ๐Ÿ’œโšก๏ธ

We are looking forward to welcoming our members up on to Plymouth Hoe on Sunday morning for what promises to be another memorable day with the club and the running community!
Be warned itโ€™s a pretty early start for this one again. Race start times are as follows for the three eventsโ€ฆ

Half โ€“ 8:15
10k โ€“ 8:35
5k โ€“ 8:50

The purple palace storm tent will be in place from 7:15am in our usual Storm support spot and we will gather here with our flags on hoe road on the final corner before you head on to the promenade โ€“ you canโ€™t miss us ๐Ÿ’œ.
We would encourage you all to get there nice and early so that you can get yourself sorted.

We will be aiming to get everyone over by ๐—ฆ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐—ง๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿด๐—ฎ๐—บ for a big team pre race photo ๐Ÿ“ธ so please make every effort to get there. We will not be hanging around as the runners in the Half will need to get in their start pen.

As usual there is official baggage at the event but you can also leave things in the Storm tent as long as you understand itโ€™s at your own risk. We will have people with it most of the morning but canโ€™t guarantee.

To all of those that are running the events on Sunday we want to wish you all the best. Donโ€™t forget to hydrate ๐Ÿ’ฆ, fuel up ๐Ÿ and keep warm before the race. Enjoy your home town event and lap up all the support and applause. Remember to trust in the training you have done and believe in yourself. Goes without saying the purple army will be cheering every single runner on โ€“ both on course and off with our amazing supporters!! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿปโšก๏ธ

The weather doesnโ€™t really want to commit just yet but itโ€™s looking likely that itโ€™ll be overcast, possibly with some light rain. Perfect conditions for running I hear you sayโ€ฆ.not so much for supporting ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
Hopefully it turns out nice but advice would be to pop an extra layer in your bag for after the race.

Talking of after the race โ€“ this is where we come into our own as a club โ€ฆ.as mentioned previous, we will be in the Storm Support zone with the big purple flags. Please, when you finish your race come back over to this area and cheer your fellow runners in. There really is nothing like being roared around that final corner by all of your friends from the club.
If you canโ€™t stay forever, donโ€™t worry! We understand everyone has different challenges and commitments but if you can weโ€™d love you to.

Your club captains cannot wait to lead the morning for us all and will be on hand should you have any questions as well as the committee members.

This race always allows Storm to showcase itself in the very best possible way. Please go out and wear your club colours with pride, remember the club ethics, enjoy your day, mix with Plymouthโ€™s ever growing running community and be part of a very special morning for the city.

Go and earn those medals team ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ…
