Good Afternoon team.

A few days later than promised but please see a list of local races below that we will be looking to support as a club this year. Some of these are already all booked up such as the Milton Keynes and Bournemouth weekends but other key dates below align to the recently announced Armada Grand Prix series or are selected alternatives for this year.

For those that do not know, the Armada Network is a network of running clubs in Plymouth and surrounding areas that combine together to help each club thrive with their events and support the whole of the running community. It’s a very unique thing to Plymouth and we are very proud to play our part in it. 💜
The Armada Grand Prix itself is completely free for all runners and the small fees will be taken up by the club.

The below is by no means THE definitive list of races but, is meant purely as a guide and some dates for the diary to help you set some goals. We will add races to the events list in the app so it will be good to see you sign up on there too so we have a rough idea of attendances. 😀💪🏻💜

🏁Armada 5k – Multi Terrain – Wednesday evening 10th April (Armada GP🏁)

🏁Plymouth 5k/10k/Half – Road Races – Sunday 28th April

🏁Milton Keynes 5k/10k/Half – Road Races- 5th and 6th May

🏁Ivybridge 10K – Road Race – Saturday evening 11th May (Armada GP🏁)

🏁Muskie Madness 10k – multi terrain – Saturday afternoon 18th May (Armada GP🏁)

🏁Erme Valley Relays – Team Road Race – Friday evening 28th June (Armada GP🏁)

🏁Magnificent 7 – Road Race – Sunday 7th July (Armada GP🏁)

🏁🏕️Hope Trail Festival – 12/24/36 Trail Run Festival – 12th to 14th July

🏁🦆Muddy Duck 10K – Saturday evening 20th July (Armada GP🏁)

🏁Totnes 10k – Multi Terrain – Sunday 4th August

🏁Armada 5k – Multi Terrain – Wednesday evening 14th August (Armada GP🏁)

🏁Treggy 7 – Road Race – Sunday 1st September

🏁💜Storm Race💜🏁 – Multi Terrain – Sunday 15th September (Armada GP🏁 – points for volunteering)

🏁Torbay Half Marathon & 10K – Road Race – Sunday 29th September

🏁Bournemouth 10K/Half – Road Race – Sunday 13th October

🏁Tavy 7 – Road Race – Sunday 27th October (Armada GP 🏁)

🏁💜❤️Storm Remembrance Run – Sunday 10th November

Important to note that you need to do 7 out of 11 of the Armada races this year to be eligible for an award at the end of the season🏆. There are 9 chances in the above list as Saltash Half and Harriers 5 Miler unfortunately clash with our two big away days. Not many got the desired amount of races in last year but well done to those who did 👏🏻🏁💜👏🏻. Would be great to see a few more pick up the awards in December next year – also note that the highest points scorer Male and Female across these events from each club will get a prize. 😀🏆💪🏻🏁.

Let’s see if Storm can do a Three-peat and win the thing for a third year in a row David and Daniel I’m looking at you 👀🏁💜🙌🏻

I’m bound to have missed a few events by the way so If there is an event that you think will be all inclusive and could do with being added please get in touch and we can discuss and add to the list.

Lastly, a quick question to the members to see if anyone would be interested in the return of our internal Grand Prix series? For a small fee each to cover the prizes we could do it for fun or make it a handicapped points scoring thing. Let us know your thoughts….🤔
